Your new go-to guide for sustainable holiday shopping ❤️
Books + Literature
Bookshop.org
First, sustainable holiday shopping starts at Bookshop.org. If your favorite celebrity just dropped a new autobiography– wait! Skip the line at your major chain and check out your local bookstore. Patronizing small bookshops in your area is a fantastic way to explore unknown titles and genres while connecting with the community.
But what if that cool indie bookshop doesn’t have what you’re looking for? Bookshop.org partners with small bookstores, so you can order any book you’re looking for and support your favorite new shop. So far, Bookshop.org has raised more than $28,000,000 for local shops. Click “Choose A Bookstore” in the top right corner to choose your area. Not to mention, you can explore the map to find your perfect bookshop.
Now, you can access any book of your choice, check out the shop’s favorites, or get inspired by something new.

Unique Gifts
Etsy
A fan classic. Etsy is the best place to find local artists, craft-makers, metalsmiths, knitters, and more, making the cutest little trinkets, custom art, and new favorite gifts all in one place. Although anything is possible on Etsy, here are some of our favorite finds:
MinaMakesInk creates color palettes for the location of your choice.
Hand-made queer cards and holographic stickers? We’re going to need a few of these from PerenniallyByEm.
ThePapercutPress has art books, novels, memoirs, and more that challenge traditional publishing to foster inclusive communities, too!
For budget-friendly finds, check out Etsy’s Gifts Under $30 page!
Uncommon Goods
Uncommon Goods is like finding a super secret underground shop that no one knows about, and everything you could ever want is there.
Uncommon Goods is a certified B Corporation. (just like us!) The beautiful game boards, food options, apparel, trinkets, and more aren’t just shiny window (browser) displays. These products wow, amaze, and inspire through the purpose they serve, the problems they solve, and the craftsmanship they hold. Not to mention, their products contain no leather, fur, or feathers. With tons of options for everyone, Uncommon Goods is perfect for sustainable holiday shopping!
They also have great deals on their sale page for gifting ideas!
