A recent graphic design graduate of FLCC, we sat down with TGW Studio intern, Skye, to learn more about her many artistic endeavors and what she learned at TGW as a fresh, working professional:
What areas of marketing interest you?
Anything I can get creative for! From creating a brand or even laying out an email, if I can be creative with it, I’m happy.
What do you hope to learn at TGW Studio?
I want to learn anything and everything I can get my hands on. Although my main focus has been graphic design, I want to have the skill set to handle any job that may come my way confidently.
What do you do in your free time?
Watch old school tv shows, play video games and I bake a pretty good banana bread from time to time.
When I was younger, I would always say, “I just want to be an artist!” It took me a bit to figure out what that looks like in the working world.
Do you have any special or hidden talents?
I’m an open book; my tricks are all on the table.
Where’s your favorite place to eat in Rochester?
Highland Park Diner is about a 10-minute walk from where I live! I love the old-school diner feel and, of course, pancakes.
What does being good in this world mean to you?
You have to be good to yourself before you are authentically good to the world.
3 fun facts about Skye:
- My favorite Sanrio character is PomPomPurin!
- I love anything sweet! Get me a little treat and I’ll be your friend forever!
- I broke my arm playing the world-renowned sport of rollerblade pingpong on my 16th birthday.
